Haroon Tabibzay studied his high school in Afghanistan. He takes great pleasure in working alongside youth and supporting their growth and development. His journey began when he joined Camp Afghanistan (CA) as a student in 2018, driven by a curiosity to broaden his understanding of abroad studies and develop his leadership abilities.

Motivated by his desire to give back and make a difference, Haroon began volunteering with Camp in 2019, where he actively organized programs and provided support in administrative tasks. Recognizing his commitment to Camp, he became an instructor/mentor at the virtual Camp in 2020.

Haroon as a camper – 2018

Motivated by the transformative impact of Camp Afghanistan, Haroon aspired to extend this opportunity to other young individuals in Afghanistan. In his subsequent roles as an English language teacher at the Lincoln Learning Centre Ghazni and director of the Ghazni Alumni Chapter, he dedicated himself to transferring the knowledge and skills he had acquired. In this capacity, he successfully implemented a winter camp for girls in Ghazni, using the principles and context derived from Camp Afghanistan.

Currently, Haroon is a third-year medical student at the University of Western Sydney in Australia. However, his commitment to working with youth remains unwavering. He actively participates in the Afghan Student Association WSU, where he dedicates his time and energy to helping newcomers navigate their path to higher education in Australia.
