Nargis joined Camp Afghanistan when she was in grade 11 at the Rabia Balkhi High School in Kabul. Nargis was motivated to join Camp Afghanistan because of her dreams of studying internationally where she would be able to develop skills at a global level, build a network of professionals, and use that to make a positive impact in her life and her country. Nargis was already very inspiring because of her experience of attending various educational programs and ambition to change the world for the better.

Unfortunately life for Nargis changed, like it did for many Afghans, amidst the Taliban take-over of Afghanistan. The road was unclear on how to puruse dreams further due to closure of many oppurtunities. Nargis, however, relocated with her family to Canada where she continues to be an inspiring adovcate of human rights by raising awareness including volunteering with organizations like the Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan.

Nargis loves reading and photography. During the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to joining Camp Afghanistan and working on her study abroad applications, Nargis developed a gallery of photos to highlight pandemic life in Afghanistan. Some of her photos were featured in a platform called the Developing Story.
